Despite the potentially earthshaking consequences, most local real-estate agents — who, to be fair, have more pressing short-term concerns — have largely ignored the cases.
"They not only have to pay a buyer's agent commission, but they can't negotiate that commission," Brobeck said of sellers.
"It just doesn't make any sense for the seller to have to pay the buyer's agent," Brobeck told me.
